What's New in Managing Users and Groups?
This section includes information about new or changed features for managing users and
groups in this Solaris release.
useradd Default Shell Enhancements
The useradd command enables you to specify a default shell by using the
-s option and a default skeldirectory by using the -k option.
For example:
# useradd -D [-s /usr/bin/ksh] [-k /export/home] foo
You can now also specify a base directory without using the -D
option.
For example:
# useradd [-b /export/home] foo
For more information on these changes, see the useradd(1M) man page.
