This section includes information about new or changed features for managing users and groups in this Solaris release.

useradd Default Shell Enhancements

The useradd command enables you to specify a default shell by using the -s option and a default skeldirectory by using the -k option.

For example:

# useradd -D [-s /usr/bin/ksh] [-k /export/home] foo 

You can now also specify a base directory without using the -D option.

For example:

# useradd [-b /export/home] foo
